Project Case

 

Turkish client is a well-known local industrial manufacturing company primarily engaged in the machining and assembly of heavy-duty components. Within its factory, large workpieces, molds, and raw materials weighing 15–20 tons must be frequently transported along routes that span multiple areas—including workshops, warehouses, and assembly zones—and involve complex turns and narrow passages.

 

Based on the client’s actual operational context, their core operational requirements were clear:

First, the solution must adapt to the factory’s existing layout and multi-stage transport routes to enable flexible, gap-free movement.

Second, the equipment must seamlessly integrate into the client’s internal logistics workflows, efficiently aligning with existing production rhythms without disrupting normal production schedules.

Third, it must ensure stability and safety during the transport of heavy materials to minimize cargo damage and safety risks.

 

To address these needs, we formed a dedicated project team to conduct an in-depth analysis of the client’s factory layout, transport route parameters, and logistics processes. We rejected standardized products in favor of a fully customized design approach, tailoring every aspect—from the equipment structure and powertrain to the control system—to the client’s specific requirements, ensuring the solution’s relevance and feasibility.

Why Self Propelled Transporter Was Selected?

 

During the project feasibility study phase, the client evaluated various heavy-duty material handling solutions, including towed transporters and forklifts, before ultimately selecting our self propelled transporter. The primary reason was its precise alignment with the client’s operational requirements, offering irreplaceable advantages over previous handling equipment:

 

– Independent Movement without the Need for Towing Equipment

Unlike traditional towed transporters that require additional towing machinery, heavy duty electric flatbed transport trolley is equipped with its own power system, enabling it to independently perform a series of operations, including starting, driving, steering, and braking. This significantly reduces equipment investment and scheduling costs while avoiding efficiency losses caused by the coordination of multiple devices.

The customer’s factory features a complex internal layout with multiple narrow aisles, right-angle turns, and obstacles. Equipped with a flexible steering system, heavy duty electric flatbed transport trolley supports various driving modes—including on-the-spot turning and diagonal movement—allowing it to navigate complex areas with ease and arrive precisely at designated transfer points. This resolves the pain points associated with traditional equipment, such as difficulty turning and restricted passage.

Engineering Design of 20 Ton Battery Operated Flat Cart

 

To meet the Turkish client’s requirements for transporting 20-ton heavy materials, we conducted specialized engineering design for 20 ton battery operated flat cart centered on four core principles: “load stability, operational safety, indoor adaptability, and ease of operation.” Key design highlights are as follows:

 

– The chassis is constructed from high-strength alloy steel. The structural design was optimized through finite element analysis, with particular emphasis on reinforcing the thickness and strength of load-bearing areas.

This ensures the chassis can stably support the 20-ton rated load while offering excellent resistance to deformation and impact, preventing equipment damage caused by long-term heavy-load operation and extending the equipment’s service life.

 

– Battery operated flat cart equipped with a multi-wheel drive system that delivers uniform power output, effectively enhancing the vehicle’s traction and hill-climbing capability. This ensures smooth operation even on workshop floors with slight slopes or unevenness, preventing material tilting or slipping and ensuring safe transport.

 

– Utilizes high-capacity industrial-grade batteries as the power source, enabling zero-emission, low-noise operation that fully meets the requirements of indoor workshop environments. This eliminates exhaust pollution and noise interference associated with fuel-powered equipment, thereby improving the workshop working environment. Additionally, the batteries offer robust endurance to support continuous all-day operations and are equipped with convenient charging ports for high-efficiency charging, minimizing equipment downtime.

 

– The acceleration and braking systems have been optimized using stepless speed control technology to ensure smooth acceleration and gradual braking. This prevents heavy materials from shaking or shifting due to abrupt starts and stops, maximizing protection for both materials and equipment while minimizing cargo damage rates.

 

Furthermore, 20 ton transfer cart is equipped with an intelligent control system that offers simple and convenient operation. Operators can flexibly control the equipment’s movement via a joystick or remote control, significantly reducing operational complexity and enhancing transport efficiency.

 

Installation and Commissioning at the Customer Site

 

To ensure the smooth delivery and rapid commissioning of transfer cart, we provide a one-stop on-site installation and commissioning service. We manage the entire process efficiently to minimize the project timeline and ensure that the customer’s production schedule remains unaffected.

 

First, we handle the cross-border transportation and on-site handover of transfer cart. A dedicated logistics team is responsible for packaging and transporting transfer cart, tracking the shipment throughout the journey to ensure it arrives at the customer’s factory in perfect condition.

 

Next, we conduct comprehensive functional testing and load verification. Through no-load test runs, we verify that all functions—including steering, braking, and power output—operate normally; Subsequently, full-load testing is conducted to simulate the client’s actual material handling scenarios, verifying the equipment’s operational stability and safety under a 20-ton load to ensure all performance metrics meet design standards and client requirements.

 

Finally, operator training and process integration are carried out. We provide one-on-one professional training for the client’s operators, covering battery power trolley operation methods, daily maintenance techniques, and safety precautions to ensure operators are proficient in operating the equipment. At the same time, we assist the client in integrating the equipment into their internal logistics workflow, optimizing transfer processes to achieve seamless integration between the equipment and production operations.

After 20 ton self propelled material handler was put into service, it quickly resolved the pain points associated with the internal transfer of heavy materials at the Turkish client’s factory, delivering significant efficiency gains and enhanced safety, and earning high praise from the client.

 

It significantly improved the efficiency of heavy material handling. Self-propelled transport vehicle requires no towing assistance and can directly complete point-to-point material transfers, reducing transfer time by more than 40%. This effectively minimizes material backlogs, accelerates production flow, and provides strong support for the client’s production schedule.
