Difference Between Transfer Cart on Rail and Trackless Design

Rail guided trolley runs on the preset track, with accurate positioning, stable load bearing, and low loss, suitable for fixed line and high-frequency transfer between the scrap yard and the furnace area, but it is not flexible enough, with high cost of track laying and maintenance, and limited by the site reconstruction to meet the demand of multiple lines.

Trackless transfer cart adopts tire drive, no need for track constraints, flexible route adjustment, suitable for multi-area, multi-station transfer, low difficulty of site reconstruction, and less investment in the early stage. However, its positioning accuracy and load stability are slightly less than rail guided trolley, making it more suitable for ground leveling and flexible line of operation scenarios. Both have their own focus, and need to match according to the need to protect the transfer efficiency.
